awkward and awesome thursday wednesday!

Awkward

- Girl at the movies abusing her rocking chair privileges. No, I do not enjoy being hit in the knee over and over again. And I don't understand why you keep looking back at me and giving me a dirty look every time you hit me. Basically these types of chairs need to banned.
- Not being able to speak at all this week. As in everything I say comes out in a stutter. What is up with that?
- Someone asking me how old I am and me just giving them a blank look. And then having to seriously think about the answer. It's not like I've been this old for almost a year now...
- Seeing someone who I think is my cousin and almost going over to say hi, then realizing it's actually my ex-boyfriend's cousin.

Awesome
- Red velvet cupcakes
- The Amazing Spiderman. And Emma Stone. And Andrew Garfield. And a family movie night in general.
- Finally being able to sleep in past nine am. Summer vacation is great.
- Going to the mall with my mom after what has felt like a lifetime. And even though I didn't buy anything {because I'm broke}, just being there was awesome. I dream about the days when I can justify going back to school shopping and actually buy things. Please end of August, hurry up.
- Coconut shampoo.
- My skin. And the fact that I have rid it of acne and blemishes and it actually looks decent. Thanks to this and this.

country drive with the brother

Sometimes when you're really bored you just need to drive into the country with your crazy and hilarious brother and watch swans drink water in the most bizarre way possible and take lots of pictures.

who wore it better?

First off, I want to apologize for the extremely poor picture quality. I think I've fixed my camera so the next round of pictures I post should look a lot nicer.

Secondly, my sister and I {if we're being honest it was me forcing my sister} decided to wear the same dress and style it different ways.

Sister paired it with a boyfriend blazer from H&M, black pumps and red lipstick. She also wore the sash that was suppose to go around the waist of the dress as a headband. Super creative that girl is.

My outfit was a bit simpler. Just the lace dress with some super cool red wellies {which my sister bought from London}

does anyone in this house know how to turn off the lights?

The title of this post is for my father. He says this on a daily basis, but still lights are left on. One of his biggest  pet peeves. I haven't posted recently because my life has not been that interesting. And then today when I still couldn't think of anything to write about I decided to just share with everyone the uninteresting things I've been doing. So here it goes.

These last couple of days I've been:

Wearing leggings all day everyday
Volunteering at camp
Working. A lot
Cleaning like a crazy person
Doing laundry
Enjoying lots of wheat {this morning was toasted cheese bread with cinnamon sugar, a.k.a. heaven}
Drinking tea
Going out with friends
Buying the cutest mini pink roses
Sleeping in till one o'clock in the afternoon
Listening to copious amounts of country music
Watching re-runs of The L.A. Complex

Basically all reasons why I need to find a hobby or something and make my life a bit more interesting. Hope your weekend has been a bit more exciting than mine! xoxo

does it get any better than this?

So I think I have had a wheat allergy for about a year now. And when I say I think, that basically means I saw my voo-doo doctor {a.k.a. a naturopath} last October for some weird kind of allergy testing, and she said that my body did not like wheat. So I gave up wheat then and there, and have avoided it for the most part until now.

Now my friends I am getting legit testing done. Which means I have to have gluten in my system for a week. Which means I get to eat whatever I want. Ah, paradise. After my doctor's appointment sister and I headed to the grocery store and stocked up on all things delicious and wheat filled. I felt like a kid in the candy store, my sister just mocked me. Red velvet  cake ice cream!?! The things I have been missing out on. For those of you who enjoy wheat on a daily basis, seriously don't take it for granted. It's sooo good.
